Bloody Hell It's Busy

2/3/16

Tomorrow I will be attending the first of four Cheltenham Festival events when I head to the Walkabout Bar in Temple, Central London, for the BetBright preview including Rich Ricci and Sam Twiston-Davies. I’ll mention anything of note in the next Cheltenham Ante-Post copy. Then it’s the Handicap Weights Lunch at Cheltenham on Monday followed by a preview evening in Bristol the next day followed by the Let’s Live Racing preview evening on the Monday night before the meeting starts at Cheltenham FC where I am on the panel with Davy Russell, Aidan Coleman and Michael Shinners so I am looking forward to that. In addition, last week I finished writing trends copy for all 28 races so, if you want to read those, they will soon all be up on the Attheraces Cheltenham site. All the Grade 1s are currently available to view, the rest will follow shortly.

The last of the 10K-word Cheltenham Ante Post updates was uploaded on Monday. I hope that you have enjoyed the last 16 weeks as much as it has knackered me out writing them. From this coming Monday that service goes daily for 12 days right through to Gold Cup day with news, views and advised bets. About half of my Festival bets go up in those last 12 days.

In the Guest Contributions section, Alan Potts has written his latest French Imports copy and has a look at the Fred Winter (his look ahead at the Triumph Hurdle will follow shortly), Paul Ferguson has identified eight more horses to follow in his March edition of Novice Note Book and Adam Hewson latest politics blog focussed on ‘Super Tuesday.’

Later today I will upload my preview of the WGC Cadillac Championship at Doral, the first of 12 tournaments that I will provide ending with the Ryder Cup. My selections at the half-way stage in the Blog for the last two weeks both won at 11/2 and 13/2 but, from now on, I will only be covering golf in the Sport section where I will also upload half-way and before the final round updates.

Also in Sport, Paul Smith’s preview of the T20 Cricket World Cup will be uploaded next week (he will also be covering all individual matches when the big eight teams enter the competition) and also look out for Mike Henderson’s coverage of the UK Open darts this weekend in addition to his next Premier League content and Andy Richmond's latest Trading Talk feature.

Finally for now, I went to see the Canadian king of the one-liners, Stewart Francis, last night so I’ll leave you with this: My therapist said today that I have a pre-occupation with vengeance – well, we’ll see about that.
