This Week's Schedule For Official Launch

November 10th

I’m back from my week away and we officially start on Thursday so a few timings.

I stated last week that my early views on the Paddy Power Gold Cup will be posted today but that will now be posted at 1.00 p.m. on Wednesday. In fact, having given it some thought, the Big Race Focus feature look ahead at the feature race of the weekend will be posted at that time and date throughout the jumps season rather than on Tuesdays as that gives me more time to study the race and weights as I will be tied up writing the lengthy Cheltenham Ante-Post copy every Monday and I would rather not rush it to get it out the next day lunchtime.

The first of the Race Previews will be uploaded on Thursday late afternoon/early evening taking a look at Day 1 (Friday) of the Cheltenham Open Meeting and the rest of the weekend will be uploaded on Friday late afternoon/early evening as in previous years. I will be previewing the main card for all Fridays up to Christmas for the first time this year. The first Cheltenham Festival Ante-Post update will be live on the website at 7.00 p.m. on Monday.

In Sport, Mike Henderson will be looking at the Grand Slam of Darts daily from Wednesday when the tournament enters the knockout stages. Both of his individual group stages advices won. Apologies for the rather untidy look of the sport content in the last week which was because I was uploading it from my phone in Malta as the hotel wifi wasn't good and that layout will now be back to normal. I will continue to add to the Trainer Trends section over the next fortnight or so taking us up to around 25 trainers in all.

Expect to receive an email of the first of the monthly Newsletter this week. This is designed for everyone on my database whether they are a member or not and will outline what is to be featured the following month with a look back at the previous month and anything else that takes my fancy.

I caught most of the best racing in the last week whilst I was out in Malta but there are some races I need to catch up with and others to re-watch properly so that’s my main plan for today. As for the poker, I came out a little ahead after splitting one tournament five ways as it 2.45 a.m. and the locals wanted to go home citing that they had to the work in the morning. Wimps! I was aided by a miraculous A-A-A board holding A2 when two of us were in all-in pre-flop but hopefully all of my luck this week won't be used up by that!
